How To Use
The American Public Power Association Online Suppliers Guide is a tool used to search for products and services within your industry. There are several search tools located within the Guide to help you find what you are looking for. Learn how to use the Guide efficiently by following these basic tips:

Browse Home Screen Categories
The easiest way to navigate the Guide is to browse the categories listed on the home page. In the center of the screen on the home page of the Guide, you will find hyperlinked product or service categories. Each of those categories will contain company listings. You will find companies listed alphabetically within each subcategory.

Search Menu: Keyword
Select "Keyword" from the "Search By" drop-down menu to search by keyword. For example, a query of "accounting services" will present all listings that offer accounting services and other financial assistance and will pull companies from categories that include that keyword.

Search Menu: Company & Contact Name
Select "Company Name" from the "Search By:" menu and type the name of a company in which you are interested in learning more about. Exact spelling is not necessary, though your results will be more accurate if you know the correct spelling of the company you are trying to find. Select "Contact Name" form the "Search By:" menu and type a partial or complete name to find listings containing that name.

Search Menu: City
Select "City" from the "Search By:" menu to locate companies and vendors located within or near a specific city. Select a city name from the second drop-down menu and click "Search" to find all vendors located in and around that metropolitan area. You can further refine your search by selecting a product/service category.

Search By: State
Select "State" from the "Search By:" menu to locate companies and vendors located within a specific state. You can further refine your search by selecting a product/service category.

Search Menu: Radius Search
The Radius search is useful if you need to find vendors local to you or to another location, or if you would like to conduct a search for vendors within a large metropolitan area. Select "Radius" from the "Search By:" menu and then select the number of miles extending around your ZIP code from which you would like to pull listed vendors. You can further refine your search by selecting a product/service category.

Show All Listings
Click "Show All Listings" on the main navigation menu to browse a complete list of all companies included in the Guide. You can also browse a list of all distributors and a separate list of all manufacturers included in this Guide. All the companies within the Guide are listed alphabetically. All enhanced listings will be at the top of the list, with the rest of the companies appearing directly after, sorted alphabetically.

RFI Automator:
Use the Request for Information (RFI) Automator to request information via email about a specific type of product or service from the company or companies of your choice.
  • Within a company's listing, click on the RFI checkbox on the right side of the listing. You can check multiple companies' RFI request buttons to create an RFI list.
  • Click the Request for Information button at the top of the category or all listings page.
  • Provide your contact information and request details using the pop-up form. Include any necessary details or explanations in the Your Request section, and attach supporting documentation as needed.
  • Click "Send." The companies you have selected will follow up with you individually.
